Food for Hungry – Alleppey

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is disrupting the world as we knew it, with a heavy toll on human lives and economic activities. Its rapid global spread is threatening to affect millions of people already made vulnerable by food insecurity, malnutrition, and the effects of conflict and other disasters. Foara stepped into addressing this issue in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, and West Bengal, wherein the association of like-minded institutions and individuals came forward in assisting these families with food materials. One event made us cry from the heart because after we completed distribution in one area and went forward to the next, one of such beneficiaries called us and said that they were so happy that they could not express themselves through words. After quite a number of days, they were able to eat because jobs were lost, shops locked down and materials scarce to obtain. The tears in their eyes dripped down their cheeks which made our hearts move a lot.
